Morbius and Suicide Squad star Jared Leto won’t rule out returning as the Living Vampire or the Clown Prince of Crime in a future comic book film.
Considered as failure at DC, Leto then crossed over to Marvel by taking on the role of Michael Morbius in the character’s solo film. Thought it would be redemption, Morbius failed miserably when during it first released. Apart from being a revenue failure, Morbius was also heavily criticized by critics and fans.
Morbius was released by end of March 2022, after getting delayed multiple times due to the pandemic. However, this movie was getting negative critics from the netizen. The film has a rating of 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Not only failed in terms of valuation, Morbius was also fail in terms of income by getting 164 million dollars from a budget of 83 million dollars.

Not only being criticized, Morbius has also became the fun subject of netizens. Netizens made fun of Morbius by creating a Morbius Sweep or It’s Morbin Time memes.
Despite the film receives a lot of negative feedback, Leto joined the netizens by making a video meme of It’s Morbin Time! Is this a sign that Leto is giving up his acting in a superhero movie?

In the interview with The Playlist, Leto was asked if he is willing to return to play as these two characters. Leto then replied, “Yes, as I said before, never say never.”
Whatever people say about his appearance, Leto doesn’t give up on playing the Joker or Morbius again in the future. Leto has actually made his second appearance as the Joker in Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). His brief appearance in Zack Snyder’s Justice League even received praise and was considered a redemption for his performance in Suicide Squad.
