After appearing in Thor: The Dark World (2013), Jane Foster did not appear again in Thor: Ragnarok (2017). In Ragnarok, it is told that Thor and Jane have broken up without clearly explaining the reason. Despite being absent from Ragnarok, Jane did appear briefly in Avengers: Endgame (2019).

The good news is that Jane will definitely make a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through Thor’s fourth film, Love and Thunder. More specifically, Jane will transform into Mighty Thor in this latest film. You can even see Jane’s appearance as Mighty Thor in various Love and Thunder trailers.

In Love and Thunder, Jane has a very different physical appearance from her appearance in previous MCU films. As Mighty Thor, Jane appears with a body that looks more manly and stocky. The interesting fact is that Jane’s character, Natalie Portman, is actually required to appear taller than her actual height.

Mighty Thor is said to have a height of about 180 cm. On the other hand, Portman’s height is only 160 cm. Portman clearly needs to increase his height by 20 cm to be able to appear perfect as Mighty Thor. Since there is no natural way to increase height in adulthood, director Taika Waititi finally found a way to make Portman look taller while playing Mighty Thor.

Portman shared about her experience, “They (the crew of the Love and Thunder film) built a trail that was 30 cm higher than the ground. So I will walk on that path.”

Natalie Portman admits that her experience of using the trail made especially for her was a funny experience during the shoot of Love and Thunder. Even so, Portman was happy that he looked bigger while playing Mighty Thor. Let’s just wait for Portman’s appearance on July 8, 2022.
