MCU Movie after End Game

Did The Avenger: End Game Kill The Future MCU Movies?

What and how the MCU will look like after the Avenger: End Game is something of a question mark. Will the future MCU movie be as exciting as the End Game?

Avengers: Endgame is one of the most financially successful films of all time by many measures, and it is popular with both movie audiences and film critics. And here, come the biggest question: will any of the future MCU movies will be as successful as Avenger: End Game?

Endgame was the culmination of an era, of a time when Marvel was the only studio producing good, family-friendly movies at first. Now, there are other movies out there, other studios, other directors getting the hang of it, and helping to balance out the superhero movie genre.

Endgame also broke just about every record in the box-office, though we’ve heard conflicting reports about whether it beat the Avatar in the top ranking.

The Upcoming MCU Movies

As far as the Marvel Cinematic Universe goes, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has reported that there are twenty more MCU films in development, including Spider-Man: Far From Home, Black Widow, The Eternals, Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, and Shang Chi, as well as Deadpool, Fantastic Four, and X-Men films in the MCU’s future.

We’ve seen glimpses of what the world looks like post-Decimation and it isn’t pretty. But most theories seem to suggest that all that will be undone by the end of the next movie.

However, there may still be other ways planet earth will be changed. Perhaps Thor will gather together the remaining Asgardians and build Asgardia on Earth. Perhaps surviving Avengers will retire from the hero business and take places among the leaders of the world. The possibilities are endless.

What Could Come Next?

Whatever happens, it’s safe to say that future Marvel films will continue to be highly lucrative and very popular. But we would be very impressed if they are ever able to beat Endgame in terms of wide popularity.

Many casual fans who have seen the films will need to be won over again after the thread they’ve been following for years finally runs out. And future films will inevitably be at a disadvantage against the nostalgia factor inherent in the earlier runs. That may well be an insurmountable obstacle.

They’ve already shown how they can carry the episodic nature of the comic book successfully over to film. So, as long as they keep running with that model they should do well and weather the periodic ups and downs, just as they have done with comics.

Bottom Line

The hype will eventually comes back, but it will be not anytime soon. If this “OVERDUE” Fox acquisition is handled well, the MCU will do well for a while.

This could be handle well if MCU is stepping further from the core classic characters.
