Everyone knows, no fashion brand does tweed better than Chanel. In the Fall Winter 2022 season, Virginie Viard puts the main focus on the tweed material, a material that is very synonymous with Gabrielle Chanel. But not only does it give a ladylike feel, Viard gives a touch of nostalgia by bringing tweed material to the countryside following in the footsteps of Gabielle Chanel walking down the Tweed river in rural Scotland while wearing her lover’s jacket.

In this season’s collection, Viard is also reminded of the glory days of London fashion in the 1960s. Bold colors at that time became the perfect element to blend with tweed material. For the Fall Winter 2022 season, Viard designed slightly oversized coats and hunting jackets combined with rubber boots inspired by an old photo of Gabrielle Chanel wearing the Duke of Westminster jacket and rubber boots.

Slowly, Viard seemed to understand how young women today want to be stylish with a collection from Chanel. Relaxed, cool, and effortless. Without being separated from the strong countryside feel, the 60s era inspiration was felt with a mini leather dress combined with stockings from thick ribbed knits, pounding slingback shoes with kitten heels, and a tweed suit with matching shorts. Viard never fails to give Chanel a classic silhouette with a hint of contemporary elegance.
