The 53-year-old actress was captured wearing the exact same dress that Jessica Simpson famously adorned at the VH1 Big in ’05 awards during December of that year. Zeta-Jones beautifully complemented the dazzling purple attire, showcasing a plunging neckline, cinched waist, and pleated skirt. Her ensemble was perfected with espadrille wedges, a petite black clutch, and oversized sunglasses. Opting for an untied hairstyle, her locks flowed gracefully down her shoulders.
Zeta-Jones was elegantly photographed exploring various European locales alongside her husband, Michael Douglas, who effortlessly exuded style in a dark blue button-up shirt paired with white trousers.
Back in 2005, at the age of 43, Simpson combined the gown with open-toe sandals, dangling earrings, and a sultry smoky eye makeup look.
During that period, the outfit held the significance of a “revenge dress,” symbolizing Simpson’s defiance. She chose to wear the dress merely a month after publicly announcing her separation from her then-husband, Nick Lachey. (Simpson and Lachey had wed in October 2002 and officially divorced in June 2006. Simpson later married Eric Johnson in July 2014, while Lachey, now 49, exchanged vows with Vanessa Lachey in July 2011.)
