Aman New York is one of the most anticipated resorts to open this year. And finally, the Aman resort in New York is ready to open its doors to guests on August 2, 2022. If you’re planning a vacation or attending the upcoming New York Fashion Week, Aman New York reservations have been open since July 25. Staying at the Aman resort which is synonymous with nature in the middle of a megapolitan city certainly gives a different experience.
Located at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue, Aman New York occupies the iconic 100-year-old Crown Building in Manhattan. There are 83 suites and 22 residences that Aman promises to provide tranquility, service, and the best hospitality. Even though it is in the heart of New York City, where the density and busyness never sleeps, on the other hand, Aman provides peace. Bringing guests away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so that the rest time is more optimal. That’s what we’re looking for, right?
By architect Jean Michel Gathy from Denniston who regularly designs luxury hotels, the Crown Building has been reimagined into a peaceful “home” typical of the Aman resort. Entering from the 14th floor. As the guests, we will be greeted by a magnificent double atrium, where we find the Italian restaurant Arva, the Japanese washoku restaurant Nama, the Wine Library, and the Jazz Club. All of these venues are connected by a green outdoor-indoor Garden Terrace with a reflective pool and fireplace.
One of the special is the spa. You also get to enjoy a massive new spa at Aman New York. Aman Spa is present on three floors with an area of 2,300 square meters, where there is an indoor swimming pool, flanked by a fireplace and sofas. There is also a Spa House for a more private spa experience. Regarding wellness, peace, and a holistic experience, there is no doubt about it.
At Aman New York, the suites provided are among the largest and most spacious in New York. Each suite has its own fireplace (a first in the city and only available at Aman New York), with neutral designs and soothing interiors inspired by Japanese minimalism. Each suite’s living room features a mural by contemporary Japanese artist Ryoko Adachi. This work pays homage to the iconic Pine Trees, a 15th-century painting by renowned artist Hasegawa Tōhaku from the pre-Edo period. For your information, this painting was designated as a National Treasure by Japan in 1952.
Aman is indeed known as a resort with a location in the middle of nature, such as beaches in Asia and mountains in Bhutan. Even so, Aman did not stop itself from bringing the best of luxury and spa into the midst of urban life. Starting from the success of Aman Tokyo which opened in 2014, it is now brought to New York. Aman New York is the third Aman resort to be present in the United States after Amangiri in Utah and Amangani in Wyoming. Adding these three resorts, there will be Aman Miami Beach in 2024.
